The 训练 certificate program provides all of the state-mandated coursework required for those who want to coach in the New York State public school system. If you want to coach any interscholastic sport in the public school system, you must complete this coursework.
为了成为一名教练, you must also complete several mandatory professional workshops in order to gain New York State licensure. The college offers these workshops as well.
Please note that students enrolled in this program are not eligible to receive financial aid.
This is the only online program of its kind in the Capital Region.
The certificate is offered through the 健康, Physical 教育 and Exercise Studies Department.
职业生涯 and Transfer Opportunities
学生s who successfully complete the program will meet the requirements to become a certified head coach in any interscholastic public high school athletic program.
The program can be completed as part of the Physical 教育 Studies program or as a separate certificate. All of the credit coursework may be transferable to other degree programs.
Graduates may become head coaches and assistants for varsity, 校, freshman and junior high (modified) teams of public schools.
